Make sure you get the Wort Righting

What did that say? I think it's supposed to say "Make sure you get the "Right Wording". Let me explain.....have you ever seen the names of all the girls on the cheer squad? It's a bit confusing. See if you can get them all straight.....

There's Kirsten, Kiersten, Karley, Kaylee, Keylee, Kaitlyn, Kaydee, Codie, Shaylynn, Shianne, Chelsey, Celesta, Megan, Martha, Melissa, Taylor, Taelor, Brittany, Brittney, Bailey, Brooke, and.....Skylee, Ashlee, and Whitney! Whew - try to say that 3 times in a row!

So is Keylee blonde or is that Kaylee? I think Kirsten is brunette...both of them. Is Kaydee the senior or is that Codie? Shaylynn is a flyer, or is that Shianne? Which Taylor is Taelor? Did Brittney hurt her knee or was that Brittany? Did Brook break her wrist or was that Bailey? Did Bailey break her nose or was that Brooke? Is Carrie Karley's mom? I think Mary and Martha go together. Is Whitney's last name Wallace? Are Herfel and Huffaker related? I wonder if they know Hammon, Hunter, and Hansen. Taylor's last name is Turner...right? Chelsey's last name is Jernigan isn't it - or is it Johnson? Who is the Lionelli girl? Are Megan and Melissa sister's or is that Brooke and Codie? Is Crockett related to Davey? Are Gardner and Glauser seniors or juniors? Does Celesta have red hair or is that Karley?

Well....I'm confused - but I should have it figured out by May....just in time for graduation!

Incredible Girls

Is this Cheer Squad lookin good or what? As I stand on the side lines and take these pictures I am gaining a stronger respect for the squad. What they do...ain't easy! Every stunt is carefully thought out and performed. These girls work hard. They have to concentrate continually and safety is essential. Next time you watch a stunt, keep your eyes on the spotters (the girls down below) Watch them concentrate. They never take their eyes off the flyer and man do they have muscles in those upper arms!!!!! You girls are incredible! Who is this Pookki guy? He has more team spirit than the entire student body combined! He must go home after the games exhausted - and we love him for it! Thanks for helping to get the crowd on their feet and energized - We love ya!
For those of you who don't know, our cute Brooke Stanley broke her nose during a stunt a few weeks ago. She had surgery and is now recovering. The Davis football game was her first time back on the track with the squad. Glad you're back Brooke.

Just a few random shots of great girls with great smiles and great moms!

Kaitlyn and Ashlee both answered their dates for the Homecoming dance during the Davis game.
Kaitlyn and the cheerleaders spelled YES with their pom pom's and Ashlee had a huge sign which was rolled out across the track. Whatever these girls do....they do it BIG. Loved it girls.

Another game...another victory for the Titans. This was our first away game-the team and the cheerleaders did an awesome job. KSL TV was there to record some of the highlights of the game as well as the energetic cheerleaders...where do they get all that energy?

Northridge Football Game 8-28-09

Another Titan Victory - this time against Northridge. Theres Amber in the middle taking the lead and helping to keep our squad "lookin good" and in line!
Thanks for all your hard work Amber.

Bailey - love the new BLUE cast :) She has to leave that thing on for 10 WEEKS - but it doesn't stop her from being an awesome cheerleader - just don't hit the cheerleaders on your right in the head...we don't want anymore injuries - ha.

Do you really know Kaitlyn?

Wow - Look at her fly...

Whoever said Cheerleadering is all easy and fun never saw a stunt like the one in this picture!
Next time you are at a game watch how hard the cheerleaders work. Every stunt is practiced several times and many things happen to make it perfect and safe. Practice-Practice-Practice is the main thing. They are always making sure technique is exact and safety is priority. When you see this Flyer in the air....you see how easy injuries can occur if proceedure is not followed. Wow - way to go girls - you rock!

Hello Assembly

It's official.....school has begun! The "Hello Assembly" was on August 28th and it went very well. The girls did a great job and had lots of fun despite a few nervous moments. While practicing backstage, before the assembly, one of the routines fell. Whitney was at the bottom of the pile and slightly injured her neck. A few tears and a little bit of ice helped relieve the pain. Then the cheerleaders did what they do best....they put on a happy face, took a deep breath, and went out to perform. Good job girls - you are awesome!

You've always gotta have a little bit of fun...great shot girls :)
